Fridge magnet anagrams are a great way of helping your child to learn their spellings.  They are also good preparation for the verbal reasoning part of your child's eleven plus.  Find the letters of the word you want to make and put them in a jumble on your fridge door.  This particularly helps children who struggle with spelling, as they can physically move the letters around, rather than having to visualise them in their head.  You may want to give them a clue, such as telling them what kind of word it is (verb, adjective etc.) or telling them what it starts or ends with.  (By the way, the word in the picture is 'QUESTION'!)
